Exynos 2400: Alleged CPU performance numbers of rumored Samsung Galaxy S24 series-bound chipset surface

Word on the grapevine currently seems to indicate the Galaxy S24 series will arrive next year with the Exynos 2400 in tow. Not much is known about the next-gen Samsung flagship SoC, but a leak now purports to throw light on the chipset's CPU performance.

Recent reports suddenly lean towards Samsung readying the Exynos 2400 for the Galaxy S24 series next year. Details of the Exynos 2400 remain unknown at this point, but a new leak appears to provide insight into the performance credentials of the chipset.

Supposedly, the Exynos 2400 will deliver better performance than Qualcomm's next-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. On average, the Exynos 2400 is tipped to deliver a single-core score of 1530 on Geekbench 5, and a multi-core score of 6210. We're not sure how those scores indicate better performance than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, however; a peek at our database shows the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy with single-core and multi-core scores of 1556 and 4987 respectively, for example.

In any case, it looks increasingly likely that Samsung will ship out the Galaxy S24 series next year with a combination of the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. That SoC variation could be region-based as it's been for years, although there are also whispers of the vanilla Galaxy S24 being the only model with the Exynos 2400.
