Motorola Moto G14 debuts with curious changes from Moto G13
Motorola has unveiled the successor to the Moto G13, a 6.5-inch handset that it introduced in January 2023. In its place arrives the Moto G14, which features some curious changes from its predecessor. On the one hand, Motorola has carried across the Moto G13's design, with an acrylic flat black panel complemented by comparatively thin display bezels.
For some reason, Motorola has dropped the third rear-facing camera that it included in the Moto G13. Specifically, while the 50 MP (f/1.8) primary camera and 2 MP macro cameras remain, the Moto G14 lacks the 2 MP depth camera that its predecessor possesses. Motorola continues to install an 8 MP front-facing camera, though, which also has an f/2.0 aperture and can record videos in up to 1080p at 30 FPS.

Surprisingly, Motorola installs a 720p and 60 Hz panel, a downgrade from the 1080p and 90 Hz equivalent in the Moto G13. The company complements the 6.5-inch display with the Unisoc Tiger T616, a modest upgrade from the MediaTek Helio G85 in the Moto G13. Elsewhere, the Moto G14 has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15 W wired charging, runs Android 13, and is IP52 certified against dust and water ingress.
The Moto G14 has debuted first in India, where Motorola has presented it in Steel Grey and Sky Blue colour options. For reference, the handset will be available in India for INR 9,999 (~US$122) with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. While Motorola has not confirmed a global launch date yet, leaker @Sudhanshu1414 asserts that it will be offered in Europe for between €100-€130.
