Bose has come to IFA 2022 to confirm that it has a new hardware line-up including earbuds, headphones, soundbars and speakers on the way. Then again, only some of their internals are now known for sure, as they are all confirmed as basd on the Qualcomm S5 Audio series of chipsets.
Accordingly, the next generation of Bose accessories will almost certainly be Bluetooth 5.3 devices, with the latest in Bluetooth low-energy (LE) technology on top of that. Some of them may also stand to support lossless audio thanks to to their new platforms, as well as adaptive ANC as appropriate.
Therefore, Bose and Qualcomm have come to IFA 2022 to tout the former's upcoming hardware as a "incredibly robust and competitive" portfolio that might be lighter on their batteries than previous generations.
The audio brand's CEO Lila Snyder asserts that its continuing partnership with the chipset provider will "bring people more enjoyment from their music and content than ever before”.
