The Volvo EX90 has been announced as an upcoming, flagship-grade all-electric option in family-style cars, albeit one that is as high-tech and potentially connected as it is comfortable and stylish. To this end, the speaker cut-outs that blend into its interior have just been revealed as developed in collaboration with Bose.
The well-known consumer audio brand has partnered with Volvo to tune the 14 speakers found throughout the EX90 as a whole system rather than one by one using the new Bose Perceptual Sound Rendering (PSR) software.
The partners assert that this new solution gives their audio engineers greater freedom to target each EX90 seating position with optimally-directed audio.
To this end, Volvo and Bose are confident that the new e-car's driver and passengers will enjoy SurroundStage sound with "more accurate low-frequency performance" thanks to BassSync technology and reduced unwanted background noise with AudioPilot 3.
More information on the EX90 and the configurations to come with Bose-branded sound systems will be forthcoming closer to the e-SUV's Fall 2023 release.
