The WH-XB910Ns are the latest wireless headphones from the audio giant Sony. They are also the newest accessories to bear the brand's EXTRA BASS trademark, rated for what it says on the tin. The new over-ears are also equipped with digital noise cancellation, 360 Reality Audio and voice assistant support.

Sony has launched the WH-XB910N set as its latest bass-focused wireless headphones. The new over-the-ear headphones offer additional in-house technologies, 360 Reality Audio and the Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) found in other, even higher-end audio products from the Japanese company included.

The WH-XB910Ns do also have noise-cancelling properties, although it is digital in this case rather than truly active. Nevertheless, Sony asserts that they will still block unwanted external sound with next-gen Dual Noise Sensor technology, which lets "users can truly shut out the world around them" while still maintaining the quality of vocals to keep the listening experience consistent.

On the other hand, if the WH-XB910N user needs to stay aware of their environment, the cans also support Adaptive Sound Control, by which the headphones can "sense" the space and external noise level around them to modulate playback accordingly. They can also "learn" frequently-visited locations in order to apply these settings automatically on encountering them again.

The WH-XB910Ns also feature dual feedforward and feedback microphones for a potentially effective, more adjustable ambient sound mode. This is controlled through the Sony Headphones Connect app; alternatively, these new headphones have WH-1000XM3-esque touch controls for everyday use, and may also work hands-free thanks to Amazon's Alexa or Google's Assistant.

They connect via Bluetooth, and also support Sony's Multipoint Connection feature for simultaneous dual-device pairing. The WH-XB910Ns also feature Google Fast Pair and Swift Pair for Android and Windows respectively.

These new accessories may not look quite like the flagship WH-1000XMs; nevertheless, Sony asserts that they have "exceptional wearability" thanks to their oval ear-cups made of vegan leather and urethane, and to a build with the popular fold-flat spec. They may also last through long use-sessions, as they are rated for up to 30 hours of battery life.

The WH-XB910Ns come in black, blue or gray with a case (that contains an optional 3.5mm cable) to match. The new US$250 options in the personal audio space can now be ordered from platforms such as Amazon, Best Buy or Sony.com, although the OEM notes they may not be available in all their colors on all these websites.
