KUU LeBook Windows convertible now shipping for $808 USD or €684 for a limited time to challenge the Microsoft Surface Pro

KUU has announced availability of its latest 12.6-inch LeBook Windows tablet with detachable keyboard and pen. Its initial launch covers at least 7 different regions with various launch prices as shown by the table below. Note that the coupon codes and expiry dates may be different depending on the region to encourage early adopters.

The LeBook carries some respectable specifications on paper including its 2160 x 1440 resolution touchscreen, narrow bezels, backlit keyboard, and aluminum alloy build. It uses an older Core i7-8550U Kaby Lake-R CPU instead of a newer Ice Lake or Tiger Lake part likely to save on costs. If you don't mind the outdated UHD Graphics 620 GPU, then the i7-8550U will still be able to run daily tasks like browsing and video streaming significantly smoother than any Celeron or Atom alternative.

Interestingly, the Amazon listing at the moment is claiming a native resolution of 2880 x 1920 and an aspect ratio of 4:3 which do not appear to be accurate. 2880 x 1920 would actually have an aspect ratio of 3:2. Meanwhile, our review unit on hand carries a native resolution of 2440 x 1440 for an aspect ratio of 3:2. We suspect that the manufacturer has made an error on their Amazon listings and we will update this page once we have confirmation.
