Xiaomi has quietly released the Pad 6 in Europe and the UK, roughly a week after pricing leaked online. To recap, the Pad 6 debuted in China in mid-April alongside the more powerful Pad 6 Pro. As expected, Xiaomi has not released the latter outside China, which utilises the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 instead of the older Snapdragon 870 upon which the Pad 6 relies.
The Pad 6 combines the 7 nm SoC with an 11-inch IPS display, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. According to Xiaomi, the display resolves at 2,880 x 1,800 pixels with 550 nits, a 144 Hz peak refresh rate and a 1,400:1 contrast ratio. Moreover, the tablet has an 8,840 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging via its USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port. While Xiaomi has not confirmed software support coverage, it has provided two major OS updates to the Pad 5 series. As such, it seems likely that the Pad 6 will finish up on Android 15, by virtue of launching with MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13.
Xiaomi will begin selling the Pad 6 on July 10 in Gravity Gray, Gold and Mist Blue colour options. By default, the tablet features 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. However, some countries like Spain will receive versions with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage too. As always, Xiaomi is offering various introductory offers, such as a fair pair of Buds 3T Pro earbuds with UK orders placed before 23:59 on July 16. For reference, Xiaomi has priced the Pad 6 as follows in Europe and the UK:
- 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage - £369/€399
- 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage - No UK SKU/€449.99
