Rumor | Xiaomi 13T gets FCC approval in advance of launch
Xiaomi released the 12T and 12T Pro in late 2022, and is expected to produce successors for both smartphones in 2023. Now, a new leak may or may not offer more insight into one of them.
The appearance of a device made by Xiaomi with the model number 2306EPN60G on the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) database has led to speculation that it is the vanilla 13T gaining clearance to launch within the next couple of months.
The leak does not reveal the SoC with which the device has been issued, but does confirm that it is 5G-capable and powers a build of Xiaomi's up-to-date MIUI 14 skin for Android. The FCC has also found that it is rated for Wi-Fi 6 or 6E and low-energy (LE) Bluetooth.
The "Xiaomi 13T" also supports NFC in this registration - although there is no guarantee that would be valid across every region in which the smartphone is to be sold.
Finally, the FCC discloses that it had been sent units of the device with 256GB of storage and 8 to 12GB of RAM - which may or may not hint at a lack of 16GB or 512GB options in the upcoming flagship refresh.
