Nothing Phone (2) starts for US$599 with powerful upgrades over Nothing Phone (1)

Nothing is now selling the Phone (2), its 6.7-inch and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-powered smartphone. Backed by a 4,700 mAh battery, the Nothing Phone (2) also has improved main and front-facing cameras compared to the Phone (1), as well as a 512 GB of storage option.

Nothing has finally launched the Phone (2), a more expensive and powerful alternative to the Phone (1) that the company will continue to sell. As rumoured, the Phone (2) is larger than its predecessor, with a 201.2 g official weight and 162.1 x 76.4 x 8.6 mm dimensions. In summary, the Phone (2) differs from the Phone (1) in the following areas:

Seemingly, Nothing will only offer the Phone (2) directly with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, with third-party retailers only offering 12 GB of RAM variants. For reference, the Phone (2) is available in three configurations. It is worth noting that Nothing limits white models to 12 GB of RAM, with black available with all memory combinations: 

  • 8 GB RAM/128 GB storage - US$599/£579/€679
  • 12 GB RAM/256 GB storage - US$649/£629/€729
  • 12 GB RAM/512 GB storage - US$749/£699/€849

The Phone (2) is available to pre-order now. Nothing is discounting various accessories at launch when ordering a Phone (2), including a pair of its Ear (2) earbuds. Full details can be found on Nothing's website. As far as we can tell, Nothing will start shipping Phone (2) pre-orders on July 17. However, the company appears set to raise prices of 12 GB RAM SKUs in the US by US$50. Nothing has not confirmed when this will be the case, though. Please see Nothing's website for more details.
