Realme is clearly preparing for the launch of its successor to the 2021 Realme Pad tablet, as new renders and specs for the Realme Pad 2 have been leaked. It seems those waiting for the next iteration will be treated to numerous specification bumps and a slightly new look that appears to offer more screen real estate for the user. The Realme Pad 2 specs and renders were originally shared by Detechtors but the relevant page has since been taken down.
It was already revealed that the Realme Pad 2 would get a bigger battery than its predecessor, and it will also get a better SoC along with the rest of the bumped-up specifications. So, a MediaTek Helio G99 will swoop in to replace the Helio G80, and it should offer a reasonable performance upswing depending on the process (~8-13% generally). On top of that, RAM + ROM is upped from 4 GB + 64 GB to a meaty 8 GB + 128 GB, while the display is listed as a 10/11-inch FHD+ unit.
While the front camera might remain an 8 MP model (surprisingly, 5 MP is also mentioned for the Realme Pad 2), there is a jump from 8 MP to 20 MP for the main rear camera. Android 13/Realme UI 4.0 will be the operating system, and it also said that there will be a Wi-Fi only model and one that additionally offers LTE connectivity. The Realme Pad 2 price and launch date have yet to emerge, but considering the number of details that are starting to leak, it can be presumed that a release date is near (September has been predicted). There are some expectations that the price will keep the Realme Pad 2 in the budget/affordable sector of the tablet market.
