Realme is working on the Pad 2, a successor to the almost two-year-old Realme Pad. Realme has not confirmed any details about the Pad 2 yet, but certification documents confirm an improved battery capacity, faster charging and a new SoC, among other changes.

MySmartPrice and The Tech Outlook have discovered details about the Realme Pad 2, a successor to the MediaTek Helio G80-powered and 10.4-inch tablet that we reviewed in late 2021. So far, the Realme Pad 2 has been spotted at the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), indicating that a global release is planned. Please note that the Realme Pad 2 will not be available in Germany owing to ongoing legal issues between Nokia and BBK Electronics, Realme's parent company.

At any rate, Realme has certified two model numbers, RMP2204 and RMP2205. While none of these bodies have revealed what the Realme Pad 2 looks like, the FCC has confirmed that at least RMP2205 contains an 8,360 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging. In other words, the Realme Pad 2 will have roughly an 18% larger battery than its predecessor that it will also be able to recharge at an 83% higher peak wattage. It seems that Realme has based the Pad 2 around a newer SoC too, with Bluetooth 5.3 support mentioned in Bluetooth SIG documentation; the Realme Pad offered up to Bluetooth 5.0 support.

There is also an assertion that the Realme Pad 2 will launch with a redesigned back panel. Seemingly, this has been inferred by a drawing published by the FCC, which we have embedded below. However, this drawing serves to show where Realme will include regulatory labels and is not necessarily indicative of the tablet's design. Unfortunately, it is unclear when Realme will unveil the Pad 2. The appearance of the tablet at various certification bodies suggests that the company is in the final stages of development, though.
