Early Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE rumours arrive with larger 'Plus' model also in development
Samsung is expected to announce flagship Galaxy Tab S9 tablets next month, with the company having scheduled a Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul. The 27th Galaxy Unpacked event should serve as an introduction to the Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Watch6 series as well, among other new products. However, Ross Young is already looking to other future Samsung tablets that will serve as cheaper options to the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.
Incidentally, the analyst also mentioned colour options for Samsung's next flagship tablets, which tally with earlier rumours. According to Young, Samsung is working on the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, with a larger Galaxy Tab S9 SE Plus in development too. Purportedly, both Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablets will be available in grey, light green, light pink and silver colour options, essentially matching the Galaxy Tab S7 FE pictured above.
While Young has not shared specifications for either tablet yet, they have outlined a release window for both tablets. Reportedly, production falls roughly two months after flagship Galaxy Tab S9 tablets, which may not start shipping until early August. Thus, Young thinks it 'makes sense based on the production schedule' that the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and S9 FE Plus will launch in October alongside the rumoured Galaxy S23 FE. Specifications for the latter have already surfaced though, which we have discussed separately.
