For reference, the brand-new retail TUF Gaming A16 is currently selling for US$1,099.99 or US$282 more than the open-box machine (via slickdeals).

The open-box ASUS TUF Gaming A16 at Best Buy apparently “looks brand new" and features all the original parts. So in theory, the notebook should be identical to a brand-new unit in form and function making the machine on sale a pretty good deal.
When it comes to the overall gaming experience, the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 proved to be a worthy mid-tier gaming notebook in our review of the device prompting us to give the machine a “good” rating of 86%. We were particularly impressed with the solid design, good trackpad, and excellent battery life of up to 20 hours under minimal load and a still impressive 12 hours in our WLAN test.
Moving on to the performance, the combination of a Ryzen 7 7735HS and a Radeon RX 7600S provides plenty of gaming chops to drive many modern AAA games at or above 60 FPS. In our testing of games at FHD resolution/Ultra settings, the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 managed 91 FPS in Witcher 3, 141 FPS in Resident Evil Village, and 70 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077.
