The 4th of July is celebrated with substantial discounts on HP’s online store. One of the highlighted deals is the Victus gaming laptop that can be configured with an i5-13500HX and an RTX 4070 dGPU for as low as US$1,269.99.
This configuration seems to be unique to HP, as other OEMs usually pair the RTX 4070 with the higher-end Intel i7/i9 or AMD Ryzen 7/9 7045HX processors. The other specs are not too shabby either, with 16 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. While the default 16.1-inch display with 1080p resolution and 144 Hz may seem dim at 250 nit typical max brightness, customers could opt for the 165 Hz option with 300 nit max brightness for just US$60 extra.
Port selection features 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 video outputs, audio jack and GbE jack. Wireless connectivity is offered through a MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 + B.T 5.3 card. To keep costs as low as possible, the configuration only comes with a 720p webcam. There is also a dual-speaker system designed by B&O and an 83 Wh battery.
Chassis color is Mica silver and the laptop has a 0.94-inch profile plus 5.07 lbs weight.
