Based on the list price of US$1,649.99, the ROG Zephyrus M16 is enjoying a US$650 or a 39% rate cut (via slickdeals). Thanks to the discount, the notebook is now priced the lowest in 120 days according to Honey’s price history tool.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 on sale packs a 14-core/20-thread Core i7-12700H CPU, a 120 W RTX 3060 mobile GPU, 16 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM, and 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. The display duties are served by a 16-inch FHD+ panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 3 ms response time, 165 Hz refresh rate, and an advertised 500 nits of brightness alongside 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color gamut.
Based on our testing of the Core i9-12900H and RTX 3070 Ti model of the notebook, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 is an excellent machine as it got a "very good" rating of 88%. The laptop rocks a solid plastic chassis that is only 20 mm thick and weighs 2 kg (4.4 lbs). The low weight and relatively thin profile is further complimented by narrow bezels making the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 a portable 16-inch gaming notebook.
Furthermore, thanks to the Core i7-12700H and the RTX 3060 mobile, the ROG Zephyrus M16 will comfortably drive almost all modern games at 1080p with elevated graphical settings. Per our benchmarks, the RTX 3060 was capable enough to push The Last of Us (2023) to 55 FPS, Resident Evil 4 Remake to 88 FPS, and Hogwarts Legacy to 58 FPS at 1080p resolution and with High graphics.
Finally, the machine also posted respectable runtimes of 5 hours and 7.5 hours in our Wi-Fi test ran at full and 150 nits of brightness respectively. Keeping in mind that these battery life figures belong to an ROG Zephyrus M16 SKU with an RTX 3070 Ti, Core i9-12900H, and a QHD+ display, the model on sale could post even better numbers thanks to lower power internals.
