We found the Nord 4 surprisingly good for mobile gaming in our testing, especially as it is encased in metal rather than being a glass sandwich like pretty much every other 5G smartphone in its class (the Pixel 8a and Realme GT 6T included).
Now, OnePlus has made it easier for its users to get the most out of it for longer with a fresh software upgrade. OxygenOS 15.0.0.500 for the Nord 4 is based on Android 15 and is compatible with the device regardless of whether it was bought in India, Europe or elsewhere.
The firmware upgrades the Nord 4 to its OEM's new Touch to Share with iOS feature, which, as the name suggests, allows the 7+ Gen 3-powered handset to send files wirelessly to an iPhone in a more direct way (requires Oppo's OConnect app for iOS).
OxygenOS 15.0.0.500 is also backed to optimize Audio Summary, Call Summary, Documents AI and Notes AI on the Nord 4. It also raises the device's security patch level to January 2025.
Meanwhile, the last-gen Nord 3 is also getting that patch via its own new OxygenOS 15.0.0.403 firmware, although it is only available in India at the time of writing.
The 15.0.0.500 update is currently rolling out worldwide, while the Nord 4 itself is currently available on Amazon in Europe for €170 off its original €599 price.
