The iQoo 12 is one of the fastest-charging premium device on the Android smartphone market worldwide, and also had one of the most powerful chipsets Qualcomm had to offer in 2024.
It debuted in India with the promise of receiving 3 major Android upgrades - which has just been increased to 4. iQoo backs its unexpected augmentation of software support for the 12 to keep it fully functional, secure and serviceable "for years to come”.
The device already updated to Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, and now stands to end its officially supported life on Android 18. It should also keep getting security patch updates until 2028.
The 12 also boasts a flat LTPO OLED display with the unusually high refresh rate of 144Hz, has a 50MP main rear camera and even looks like the newer 13 (albeit without the RGB lighting around the camera hump).
The 13 does have a more up-to-date 6,000mAh battery, compared to 5,000mAh in the 12. Nevertheless, iQoo's announcement should help its owners get the best out of the latter (now available for INR 45,999 on Amazon.in) for longer.
