The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered Z9 Turbo is thought to be supplanted by a direct successor with corresponding 8s Elite silicon, leaving its alleged "Z10 Turbo Pro" to rock the Dimensity 8400 as iQoo's first smartphone with that processor.
The brand's parent OEM Vivo has allegedly registered both devices with 3C, one as the V2452A and the other as the V2454DA. The new certification shows that they both support 90W charging, as opposed to 80W in the Z9 Turbo (and its Endurance Edition).
The upgrades in this area are said to get even wilder for the Z10 Turbo series, with new silicon-carbon batteries that reportedly go up to 7,500mAh in the Pro.
The smartphones are also projected to get on-trend flat 1.5K displays. On the other hand, those panels are also now said to go with older LTPS technology for brightness rather than the more up-to-date LTPO typically associated with premium displays.
The Z10 Turbo and Turbo Pro are now also thought to have mid-frames made of plastic rather than metal, and to miss out on high-end ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.
Then again, those choices might make the supposedly upcoming iQoo smartphones competitive in terms of price, compared to possible rivals such as the ~$300-400 Poco X7 Pro.
