Oppo Find X8 debuts with high-end hardware in smaller body than Find X8 Pro
Oppo has now delivered the Find X8 in its home market. Ultimately, the device serves a cheaper alternative to the Find X8 Pro that the company also introduced today. However, the Find X8 should not be dismissed on account of its lesser status within the Find X8 series.
For example, Oppo equips the Find X8 with a 6.59-inch LTPO AMOLED display that outputs at 1,256p with a 120 Hz refresh rate and the same 4,500 nit peak brightness value as the Find X8 Pro. Additionally, the Find X8 features a trio of 50 MP rear-facing cameras, including a 3x telephoto camera. For reference, while the trio all support PDAF, the ultra-wide-angle camera misses out on the optical image stabilisation (OIS) that Oppo affords to the Find X8's primary and telephoto cameras.

Moreover, the Find X8 has a 32 MP front-facing camera and the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset as the Find X8 Pro. With that being said, Oppo installs a smaller 5,630 mAh Silicon Carbon (Si/C) battery, although this supports 50 W wireless and 80 W wired charging just like the Find X8 Pro. Somehow, Oppo has managed to include all this hardware within a 157.4 x 74.3 x 7.9 mm housing that weighs 193 g.
In other words, the Find X8 has roughly the same footprint as the Galaxy S24 Plus (curr. $659.99 - renewed on Amazon). Currently, the Find X8 is exclusive to China, as are all the products that Oppo has revealed today. Potentially, Oppo will release the Find X8 internationally at some stage though, if recent leaks are to be believed. For context, the Find X8 starts at CNY 4,199 (~$590) in China with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. By contrast, the device's most expensive model retails for CNY 5,499 (~$773) with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
