Xiaomi 15 Pro shown in detail by official launch pictures with new 120 mm periscope telephoto camera confirmed
The Xiaomi 15 is not the only flagship that Xiaomi has revealed today. As usual, Xiaomi also intends to introduce a larger Pro model during the same launch event. For reference, the rumoured Xiaomi 15 Ultra is not expected to officially debut until Q1 2025.
While the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be larger than the Xiaomi 15, it have a smaller overall footprint than the current Xiaomi 14 Pro. According to Xiaomi, its latest Pro smartphone will weigh as little as 213 g, which would see it undercutting other flagships like the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy S24 Ultra (curr. $1,092.23 on Amazon) by 16~20 g.
Moreover, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is said be 8.35 mm thick excluding its camera housing, which would make it a smidge thicker than the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Like the smaller Xiaomi 15, it appears that the Xiaomi 15 Pro has tiny bezels, a matte side frame, three rear-facing cameras and an LED flash array that sits to the right of its huge camera housing.
For some reason, the lower right aperture here looks blank, although there could be some additional use we are unaware of. Furthermore, the inscriptions on the device's camera housing suggest that Xiaomi has included a 120 mm periscope telephoto camera, compared to the 75 mm equivalent inside the Xiaomi 14 Pro. A 14 mm ultra-wide-angle camera returns though, which will be joined on October 29 by what we suspect is an f/1.44 aperture primary camera.
