Oppo Find X8 Pro takes on flagship competition with MediaTek Dimensity 9400, ultra-bright display and heady camera hardware
Oppo has finally unveiled the Find X8 Pro, which is currently one-half of the Find X8 series. For reference, the other device is the regular Find X8, not the Find X8 Ultra. As expected, the Find X8 Pro has a less conspicuous design than the Find X7 series.
For example, while a circular camera housing still dominates, the tone-tone finishes of the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra have made way for a more simplistic colour scheme. With that being said, the plainer design hides a few special features, such as an alert slider and a camera capture button. Please note that the latter is more in the style of the iPhone 16 series than the Xperia 1 VI (curr. $969.99 on Amazon).
Moreover, the Find X8 Pro finds itself with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, which Oppo complements with a 5,910 mAh battery that supports 50 W wireless and 80 W wired charging. Additionally, Oppo has installed a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display within the device's 8.24 mm and 215 g housing that outputs natively at 1264p, 120 Hz and 1,600 nits or 4,500 nits when viewing HDR content.

Supposedly, the Find X8 Pro is IP69 certified too. On top of that, the device contains the following camera hardware:
- Primary: 50 MP, f/1.6 aperture, OIS
- Ultra-wide: 50 MP, f/2.0 aperture, 15 mm equivalent focal length
- Telephoto: 50 MP, f/2.6 aperture, 3x optical zoom
- Telephoto 2: 50 MP, f/4.3 aperture, 6x optical zoom
- Selfie: 32 MP, f/2.4 aperture
Furthermore, the Find X8 Pro can record 4K HDR videos at 60 FPS across all its cameras. Currently, Oppo's latest flagship is exclusive to China, where it starts at CNY 5,299 (~$744) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device can be purchased in Oppo's home market with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, but for CNY 6,799 (~$955). While Oppo has not confirmed international launch plans yet, there are suggestions that the Find X8 Pro will be available globally at some point.
