MediaTek is thought to beat Qualcomm to the launch of a new top-end chipset in 2025 - although the SoC in question is the regular scheduled refresh of the former's current Dimensity 9400 flagship.
It is thought to drive a new wave of premium devices onto the Android smartphone market nonetheless, a number of which are alluded to in a new leak.
It suggests that the line-up might include a new member of the Realme GT series; the Vivo X200s; the Oppo Find X8S and X8S+; the next OnePlus Ace and the Redmi K80 Ultra.
They might all be beaten onto the market by the iQOO Neo11 Pro, however. This seemingly wide range of new handsets (which all originate from the BBK Electronics corporation - with the exception of the K80 Ultra, of course) might start to see teaser campaigns immediately after (or even during) MediaTek's launch of the 9400+.
It is now "scheduled" for April 11, 2025, according to the eminent leaker Digital Chat Station. For all the 9400+'s apparent uptake, that event might be less than spectacular as it is thought to unveil a chipset with minimal changes compared to the up-to-3.6GHz 9400.
