The Snapdragon 8 Elite can already be considered a success, as it outperforms its peers for the most part. Qualcomm's next-gen flagship chipset, expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, is already in the works, and new leaks now reveal some information on what to expect from the SoC.
As outed by Digital Chat Station, Qualcomm is set to launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 even earlier next year. The company has scheduled its Snapdragon Summit earlier and earlier each year, and that looks geared to continue in 2025. The Snapdragon 8 Elite debuted in mid-October this year, and it's likely that its successor launches in early October next year.
Supposedly, the flagship chipset will be adopted by even more devices when it debuts, although that looks unlikely considering the hefty price tag of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Corroborating prior reports, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is tipped to be built on TSMC's N3P node, much like Apple's A19 chips. Lastly, the source claims the Snapdragon 8 Elite's successor will arrive with significant GPU improvements. Previous reports already claimed a CPU performance jump in the region of 20% was on the cards, and it's likely the GPU side sees identical improvement.
