World's first Dimensity 9400-powered tablet tipped to launch with hidden selfie camera
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 has done well in new smartphones such as the Oppo Find X8 Pro; now, it is poised to take the tablet market on, according to typically well-informed leaker Digital Chat Station.
The slate is thought to have a slim metallic unibody, like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 (now available for $689.98 on Amazon), albeit one of the on-trend compact form-factor.
Its relatively small, yet high-refresh-rate, display is also described as having "rounded corners", possibly so as to complement the outer edge of its front panel and also, possibly, to make any bezels it has less distracting.
Furthermore, it is also thought to upgrade to under-display camera technology for the sophisticated "hidden camera" look of the RedMagic 10 Pro or Nubia Z70 Ultra. Then again, the screen in question is also thought to be LCD rather than the OLED of those smartphones.
The identity of the putative next-gen tablet remains a mystery for now, although given its display's alleged 8.8-inch diagonal length, potential candidates include a successor to Lenovo's current Legion Y700 or the 144Hz RedMagic Nova.
