The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is almost here, with Samsung having scheduled a Galaxy Unpacked launch event for February 9. As leaks have disclosed previously, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a 14.6-inch OLED display, the largest tablet that Samsung has created since the Galaxy View, a tablet with an 18.4-inch display. Incidentally, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is also significantly larger than the iPad Pro, which measures up to 12.9-inches across.
Samsung has been unable to keep the tablet's notch a secret too, supposedly necessary for two front-facing cameras. A first hands-on photo shows what to expect from the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra when Samsung releases it, highlighting how thin its bezels are. However, they look a touch thicker than Samsung's marketing assets suggest. Still, they look significantly thinner than the bezels that the Galaxy Tab S7 series has.
Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra's notch is unescapable, akin to the MacBook Pro 14. It remains to be seen if someone will develop a TopNotch equivalent for the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, though. Reputedly, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra could start at €1,149 with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and Wi-Fi only connectivity. By contrast, 5G models could start at €1,299 with the same memory configuration. In comparison, the tablet could cost over €1,500 with 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage and 5G connectivity. All variants should be orderable from February 9 and will ship on February 25.
