Samsung to ditch the power supply for the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra while retaining the S Pen
More details about the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra have surfaced online, just days after WinFuture published marketing assets and specifications sheets for the three tablets. According to LetsGoDigital, Samsung has decided to ship the tablets with one important accessory while leaving another crucial one on the table.
Supposedly, Samsung will omit a power supply from the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus, and Tab S8 Ultra's boxes. For context, Apple still ships power supplies with its tablets, such as the iPad mini 6. However, Samsung's decision mirrors one it made for the Galaxy S21 series, championed by Apple with the iPhone 13 series. Reportedly, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will support up to 45 W fast charging, for which Samsung will sell an appropriate power supply.
In saying that, LetsGoDigital expects Samsung to bundle the Galaxy Tab S8 series with an S Pen. As last week's leaked marketing assets showed, the Galaxy Tab S8 series will continue to recharge the S Pen via a long slot beneath their rear-facing cameras. All models should support air gestures and handwriting recognition, too.
