ZTE has now released a new gaming tablet globally. Available across North America, Europe and the UK, the RedMagic Nova combines a 2.8K and 144 Hz display with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset, active cooling and a huge battery that supports 80 W fast charging.

Not too long has passed since Samsung updated its flagship tablet series with the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (curr. $1,699.99 on Amazon). However, ZTE has now decided to undercut both tablets with the RedMagic Nova, which combines the following hardware highlights:

  • 10.9-inch IPS display, 2.8K resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 144 Hz refresh rate, 550 nits brightness
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset
  • LPDDR5X RAM/UFS 4.0 flash storage
  • 10,100 mAh battery, 80 W wired charging

Additionally, the RedMagic Nova contains an active cooling solution, all within a housing that is just 7.3 mm thick and weighs 530 g. Moreover, the tablet has a quad-speaker setup complemented by DTS-X Ultra Sound, as well as 20 MP front-facing and 50 MP rear-facing cameras. On top of that, ZTE has included a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port, which allows the RedMagic Nova to output to an external display.

Currently, the RedMagic Nova is available in two memory configurations, starting at 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage for $499/£439/€499. Alternatively, the tablet can be optioned with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for $649/£559/€649, albeit in the same Midnight colourway as its 12 GB RAM sibling. Furthermore, the tablet can be purchased with magnetic keyboard, protective case, screen protector and stylus accessories, which cost as follows:

  • RedMagic Nova Magnetic Keyboard - $109/£89/€109.90
  • RedMagic Nova Protective Case - $34.90/£27.90/€34.90
  • RedMagic Nova Screen Protector - $24.90/£19.90/€24.90
  • RedMagic Nova Stylus - $79.90/£69.90/€79.90
