Oppo Pad 3 Pro flagship Android tablet gets listed ahead of October 24 launch date
Oppo has several new products launching on October 24. In addition to the highly anticipated Find X8 series, the Chinese tech giant will also unveil a new tablet which will launch as the Oppo Pad 3 Pro, and ahead of the announcement, a listing for the device has appeared on Oppo's online store.
It was previously reported that the OnePlus Pad 2 (curr. available on Amazon for $499.99) announced for global markets a few months ago will also be launched in China as the Oppo Pad 3, but a leak revealed that won't be the case. Instead of the Oppo Pad 3, the tablet will arrive as the Oppo Pad 3 Pro. It will also have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version and not the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 inside the OnePlus Pad 2.
This official listing confirms the tablet will indeed be sold as the Oppo Pad 3 Pro and also confirms the chip under the hood is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version. However, the differences between the two tablets don't end there.
According to the listing, the Oppo Pad 3 Pro will be available in four configurations. The base model will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, followed by a 12GB RAM version with 256GB of storage. There will also be a 16GB RAM version available in 512GB and 1TB storage options. On the other hand, the OnePlus Pad 2 is available in only two configurations - 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM with 128GB and 256GB of storage respectively.
In addition, the Oppo Pad 3 Pro will be available in Night Blue and Dawn Gold whereas the OnePlus Pad 2 is available to buy in a single color called Nimbus Gray. It's not just the colors that are different, the finish is also different as the Oppo tablet has concentric circles on the back like the OnePlus Pad. The Oppo Pad 3 Pro will also have an optional stylus and keyboard.
The price of the Oppo Pad 3 Pro is currently unknown but Oppo has begun accepting reservations for it.
