Next-gen BOE display of OnePlus 13 to be officially showcased soon

OnePlus released its first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagship phone with the BOE X1 Oriental screen. At launch, this display was claimed to feature the highest peak brightness rating. The panel also received an A+ certification from DisplayMate for its industry-leading color accuracy and brightness.

Now, with the OnePlus 13, BOE will introduce the next-gen X2 Oriental screen. Full details will be revealed at a dedicated joint event tomorrow, but it's said to push the boundaries even further than the X1 display. More specifically, the official teasers reveal that the panel is the first to receive A++ certification from DisplayMate.

It has also broken 21 display records. Louis Lee, the president of OnePlus China, notes that the BOE X2 on the OnePlus 13 will bring multiple improvements. These improvements include better eye protection, improved screen quality, and higher visibility in outdoor conditions.

Besides that, neither BOE nor OnePlus has shared any exact specs of this BOE X2 screen. However, recent leaks surrounding the OnePlus 13 suggest that the display will feature a 120 Hz refresh rate and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.

Moreover, the OnePlus 13 is expected to feature a micro quad-curved display, something that most Chinese manufacturers are adopting in their next-gen flagship phones. It's said to be a hybrid between a fully-curved and flat screen, combining the advantages of both designs.

As for the size, both the OnePlus 13 and Oppo Find X8 are expected to feature a 6.82-inch display. All these rumored details will be verified tomorrow at the BOE X2 unveiling event.
