OnePlus "13R" tipped to launch as dual 50MP rear camera smartphone
The Ace 5 Pro is thought to launch as a cut-price alternative to the upcoming OnePlus 13, with sub-flagship tweaks such as a lower-res (1.5K) version of the brand's latest X2 display
It is also now said to have the same main rear Sony IMX906 rear camera as its predecessor - albeit one joined by a portrait zoom lens for the first time. It may also be 50MP in resolution, based on the ISOCELL JN1 sensor from Samsung, according to the typically knowledgeable leaker Digital Chat Station.
Furthermore, those shooters might have the same AI features as OPPO's upcoming premium Find X8 handset.
Should this leak prove accurate, it would be a potentially substantial improvement on the Ace 3 Pro, a device in which rear cameras are an afterthought: identical, in fact, to those of the Ace 3 (also available on Amazon as the OnePlus 12R) before it.
On that note, the vanilla Ace 5 is likely to have the same hardware as its Pro counterpart - except for its chipset. Accordingly, it might be able to bring its alleged camera upgrades to the international market as the 13R, whereas the 5 Pro is thought to stay exclusively in China.
