OnePlus Ace 5 Pro tipped to debut before end of 2024 with same SoC as next brand flagship
With its high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-driven AMOLED display, colossal battery and ability to be ordered with up to 24GB of RAM, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro might have struck its Chinese audience as an Android smartphone that would last the course for years to come.
However, according to notorious leaker Digital Chat Station, OnePlus intends to supplant its current flagship refresh with a new model in the last quarter of 2024 - even though the Ace 3 Pro has only been around since June.
The "Ace 5 Pro" is now said to pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC - even though the OnePlus 13 is of course thought to do the same and launch in October 2024 at the earliest.
As for the vanilla Ace 5 (or "13R", tipped to succeed the 12R that can be found on Amazon), the same leaker vaguely hints that it should also be here by the end of the year, yet worries it might prove a flop without the Leading Version of the 8 Gen 3.
All in all, it seems consumers will have a broad and slightly confounding choice of new premium OnePlus smartphones coming their way - so long as they are located in China, that is.
