OnePlus 13 tipped to launch earlier than 12 in China
OnePlus waited until December 2023 to unleash its current flagship Android smartphone on the Chinese market; however, it now seems the brand might not have to do the same in 2024.
The eminent leaker Digital Chat Station now asserts that it has "tentative" plans to launch the allegedly upcoming 13 as close to the end of October 2024 as possible - before China's major annual Double Eleven retail event, at any rate.
Accordingly, the OnePlus 13 might be official in China by November 11, 2024, thereby offering a preview of the brand's new flagship prior to its subsequent international launch as usual.
It is thought to have a quad-curved 2K display driven by the next-gen 8 Gen 4 processor and a generationally enlarged battery that nevertheless retains the up-to-100W wired charging speed of its predecessor.
Despite those specs, it might face stiff competition from the likes of the Xiaomi 15-, OPPO Find X8- and Vivo X200-series smartphones of very similar specs.
All of these devices are rumored to hit the ground running in the final quarter of 2024 in order to catch up with the iPhone 16 series that will beat them to an international debut in September.
