Xiaomi has reported that it turned over CNY 19.3 billion (~US$3.02 billion) during 11.11 day sales, also known as Singles Day in China. The Redmi K40 even outsold the iPhone 13, with Apple generating slightly less turnover than Xiaomi.

November 11 is an important shopping day in China, with the day often referred to as Singles Day by retailers. According to JD.com, one of China's largest retailers, Xiaomi outsold all its competitors, such as Apple, Honor, Realme and OPPO.

The retailer claims that the Redmi K40 was its best selling smartphone, ahead of the iPhone 13, Redmi 9A and the iPhone 12. However, iPhones were the most frequently bought smartphones of those costing between CNY 5,000 (~US$782) and CNY 10,000 (~US$1,565). By contrast, the Mi 11 was the best selling flagship smartphone that retailed for less than CNY 5,000 (~US$782).

On Weibo, Xiaomi explains that it achieved a turnover of CNY 19.3 billion during Singles Day, equivalent to US$3.02 billion at current exchange rates. The company adds that its smartwatches sold well, particularly the new Redmi Watch 2. Moreover, it insists that it shifted more units of the 86-inch Redmi MAX Smart TV than other 80-inch TVs that were available.
