A whole new reason to be content in holding out until next year to buy the next OnePlus Open-series foldable smartphone may have just emerged. A well-regarded leaker hints that it, along with its Chinese 'twin' the OPPO Find N5, might be the first of its kind to debut with a 6,000mAh battery.
The spec is normally reserved for affordable smartphones in order to build their value proposition and selling point; however, according to Smart Pikachu, it is coming to flagship smartphones, in the form of successors to the OnePlus 12 and OPPO Find X7 series.
Accordingly, that list is said to include the 13 and vanilla Find X8 as well as its X8 Ultra counterpart. They are also apparently to be joined by a successor to the GT5 Pro, possibly as its brand Realme is also part of the SuperVOOC-powered BBK Electronics group.
However, unlike the impending top-end OPPO and OnePlus smartphones, the GT6 Pro is not linked to official availability on the international market - yet. In the meantime, its 5,400mAh predecessor can only be found through resellers such as TradingShenzhen at the time of writing.
