MWC 2024 | Hasselblad camera flagship is around the corner: Oppo announces the return of the Find X series to Europe

The Find X5 Pro was Oppo's last camera flagship in Europe, and the successor Find X6 Pro was only launched in China. To date, this also applies to the current model of the Hasselblad-branded smartphones, which has a unique selling point with its periscope telephoto duo. No one at Oppo wanted to officially confirm that the already available in China Find X7 Ultra will be coming to Europe, but the Find series as a whole is soon to play a role again in Germany and other European countries.

A press release from the BBK Group mentioned that Oppo will soon be present again in all countries in the eurozone where it was already present before the patent disputes with Nokia, including Germany and Austria. To coincide with Oppo's 20th anniversary in 2024, its presence in Europe is expected to be greatly expand through a three-year alliance with the Telefonica Group. Even though the brand has recently lost importance in Europe, it is still the fourth best-selling smartphone manufacturer in the world according to market research institute Canalys.

It is not yet known when the Find X7 Ultra will be launched globally - assuming the statements made in private are confirmed. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-equipped camera flagship is currently only available via import dealers and focuses on a Hasselblad color tuning in addition to the periscope duo.

Update 11:30 In response to our request, there was a statement that the decision for or against a launch of the Find X7 Ultra has not yet been made. It is also possible that the Find X8 Ultra will be available in Europe.
