Winter Middle-earth promotion on Steam: Up to 85 percent discount on selected Lord of the Rings games

From "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor" and "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" to the LEGO versions, the winter Middle-earth promotion on Steam offers a variety of ways to bridge the rest of the winter season with a trip into the Tolkien universe. There are also various DLCs available for the games, which enrich the gaming experience with new missions, characters and abilities.

Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War

The highlight of the promotion is The Shadow Pack which includes both Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War including all DLCs and is available for 10.50 instead of 70 euros thanks to a hefty 85 percent discount. Alternatively, the games are also available separately: Shadow of Mordor with a 75 percent discount for 5  instead of 20 euros and Shadow of War with an 85 percent discount for 7.50 instead of 50 euros.

In "Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor", players take on the role of the ranger Talion, who loses his family and his own life to the forces of Sauron, only to be revived a short time later by a mysterious spirit, giving him supernatural powers. Talion uses his newfound abilities to fight his way through the ranks of the Orcs in Mordor and avenge the death of his family. In "Middle-earth: Shadow of War", Talion continues his quest for revenge by building his own army to conquer Mordor from within.

A core mechanic of both games is the Nemesis system, which creates dynamic relationships between the player character and the NPC enemies, mainly the Uruk-Hai. Each enemy can develop a unique relationship with Talion based on the results of their encounters.
