Super Meat Boy Forever: The popular action platformer is currently available for free from Epic

"Super Meat Boy Forever" is the successor to "Super Meat Boy", which was programmed and released by Team Meat in 2010. Players control a meatball called Meat Boy, who does everything he can to rescue his girlfriend Bandage Girl from the clutches of the evil Dr. Fetus. The 2D platformer is all about quick reactions. Players have to jump, slide, punch and kick to avoid traps and kill enemies.

If you enjoy gritting your teeth on a challenging platformer, Super Meat Boy Forever is definitely not to be missed. The first part was already known for its high level of difficulty. The sequel is even more challenging - and is available in the Epic Games Store free of charge until February 29.

Increased level of difficulty, continued story

The sequel released in 2020 essentially follows the same gameplay mechanics as the original game, but introduces some changes that make the game even harder. While Meat Boy could still run forwards and backwards in the first part, he now runs through the levels automatically. In addition, the levels in Super Meat Boy Forever are procedurally generated. This means that players have to face a new challenge in each run.

The story continues. In the second part, Meat Boy and his girlfriend Bandage Girl have a child called Nugget, who - how could it be otherwise - has been kidnapped by Dr. Fetus. Meat Boy and Bandage Girl are now equally important main characters, and players can switch between them at any time.
