Colorful Colorfire MEOW R15 gaming laptop debuts with AMD Ryzen 7 and up to Nvidia RTX 4070

Colorful has revealed the recently teased Colorfire MEOW R15 gaming laptop. As the teaser suggested, the system packs an AMD CPU, which makes this the first notebook from the company to come with a Ryzen processor. For the GPU, the brand has chosen the Nvidia RTX 40 series.

More specifically, there are two configurations available for the MEOW R15 laptop. The base variant has the last generation AMD Ryzen 7 7735H processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU. These specs position it as a mid-range gaming notebook.

Display-wise, the base variant of MEOW R15 has a 15.6-inch 1080p screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage. The laptop's current starting price with these specs is CNY4,999 (around $694), but after the pre-order phase, the starting price will be CNY5499 (around $764).

The second configuration comes with better specs, featuring the latest AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS APU and Nvidia RTX 4070 (Asus Dual RTX 4070 OC curr. $539.99 on Amazon). These specs make this variant of the Colorfire MEOW gaming laptop stand as a high-performance gaming machine. Although the screen size is the same as the base configuration, the display's resolution is 2.5K, and the refresh rate is 165 Hz.

Pricing-wise, the second configuration's pre-order price is CNY6,699 (around $930), and after the promotional phase, it will be CNY7,499 (around $1,041). Both the configuration of the Colorful Colorfire MEOW R15 gaming laptop is available with up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB of storage (Crucial T500 1 TB SSD curr. $84.99 on Amazon). Global launch details aren't available yet, but Colorful does sell its previous gaming laptops in the international markets. However, it should be noted that the base variant may not step outside China, as the Ryzen 7 7735H is a China-exclusive CPU.
