Xiaomi first teased the 2024 Redmi G Pro at the big product launch event last month. The company later shared info on the top-end configuration and hinted that the gaming laptop would offer a good price-to-performance ratio. Now, Xiaomi is claiming that it can beat a similarly configured 2024 Lenovo Legion Y9000P.

First teased on February 22, the 2024 Redmi G Pro is about to debut on March 4 in China, which is tomorrow. After the initial teaser, Xiaomi shared some key hardware details, which confirmed that the gaming laptop will pack the 14th gen Intel Core i9 14900HX CPU and Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU. While there were reports about one other configuration, the company hasn't yet said anything about it.

Nevertheless, Xiaomi is now touting that the gaming laptop can beat the 2024 Lenovo Legion Y9000P configured with the same hardware. The shared gaming benchmark comparison shows that the 2024 Redmi G Pro can deliver 166 average FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, while Y9000P is shown to get an average of 149 FPS. There's a noticeable difference in terms of the 1% low too.

The gaming benchmark comparison also indicates that the Redmi G Pro laptop has the upper hand in other games. You can check out the chart in the image attached at the end to learn more.

Xiaomi says that the 2024 Redmi G Pro gaming laptop enjoys such a performance boost due to two main aspects. One is "Rage Engine," which the company claims can improve the overall machine performance by 5% and screen response rate by 40%.

Next is "Ice Cooling," which consists of a 3D vapor chamber, "liquid gold" thermal paste, and 3D mesh heat pipes. With these, the 2024 Redmi G Pro can seemingly deliver 210 watts of performance with a max temp of 42.4 degrees Celsius. To compare, Xiaomi says that a similarly configured Legion Y9000P can offer 205 watts with a max temp of 49.8 degrees Celsius.

Do note that these are all claims that are yet to be proven with user benchmarks. But we don't need to wait long for them to appear, as the gaming laptop will debut tomorrow. Another thing to note is that the 2024 Redmi G Pro hasn't yet been confirmed for global markets, but you can purchase a better-equipped 2024 Asus ROG Strix G16 from Amazon right now.
