Segway claims that its latest robot mowers represent "a significant leap forward in automated lawn maintenance technology" thanks to its latest AI mapping and positioning technology.
To that end, the Navimow i105N and i110N are equipped with a 140° POV camera system powered by a "real-time kinematic" (RTK) rated to help them apply their 2-3.6 inch cutting specs to potentially improved coverage of a "diverse range of lawn layouts" with "centimeter-level positioning".
The i series mowers also support a Ride-on Boundary feature that might empower them to somewhat straddle the lawn's non-grass edge in order to clip the borders with more efficacy. Then again, their new AI Assistant Mapping should allow them to remain within said perimeter for the rest of the time.
On that note, the user can set them to mow to a schedule as well as fine-tune the lawn's borders if necessary via the Segway mower app. The i105N and i110N also introduce "a unique zigzag cutting pattern" that optimizes turning angles to improve their chances of getting at every blade of grass.
Segway has released these new robot mowers at $999 (for the up-to-0.125 acre (~5,445ft) i105N) to $1,299 (for the up-to-0.25 acre (~10,890ft) i111N) via its website. Meanwhile, its Navimow H-series predecessors have arrived on Amazon.com.
