CES 2024 | Mammotion launches new wireless LUBA 2 AWD robot lawn mower
The Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD series of robot lawn mowers has been unveiled at CES 2024. The new model follows the original LUBA mower, which went on general sale last June following a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. The latest version provides a range of upgrades from its predecessor.
The LUBA 2 AWD adds 3D Vision to RTK positioning to navigate your lawn without needing a perimeter wire, helping it tackle trickier landscapes. The AWD system means the robot can tackle up to 38° inclines and traverse muddier areas. Plus, bionic 3D vision allows the mower to detect obstacles as small as 1-inch (~25 mm) in size and move around them. Other features include rain detection, auto-recharging, 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity.
You can remotely control the LUBA 2 AWD in the Mammotion app, with features including scheduling and cutting height adjustment; you can choose for your grass to be clipped to lengths between 1.2 and 4.0-inch (~30.5 and 101.6 mm). Plus, you can mow a pattern into your lawn using the app’s customizable design tool. Further remote controls are offered via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands. The company suggests that the new range is suitable for lawns up to 2.5 acres (~10,100 m²) in size. You can now buy the Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD starting from $2,099.
