Xiaomi has unveiled the Robot Vacuum X20, which is already on sale in some Asian countries. The four-in-one device can vacuum, mop and sweep your floors with up to 5,000 Pa suction power. Other features include automatic mop washing and water tank replenishment at the dock, and app-based or voice controls.

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 has arrived. The brand describes its new model as a four-in-one device that can sweep, vacuum, and mop and has a cleaning assistant; it needs to be clarified precisely what functionality is linked to the assistant. The robot has up to 5,000 Pa suction power and dual high-speed rotating mop pads for a deeper clean.

The Robot Vacuum X20 uses LDS laser navigation to move around your home efficiently, with obstacle avoidance technology to reduce the risk of bumping into things like furniture. You can track the cleaning progress via voice alerts or the Xiaomi app, where you can also control the vacuum’s settings and set up a schedule. Alternatively, you can use Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands to control the robot.

The X20 will intelligently return to the dock to refill the tank and wash the mop pads around every 5 to 10 m² (~54 to 108 ft²) to ensure you get a clean finish; the dock has 4L clean and dirty water tanks. Plus, the mop will be automatically raised when vacuuming or returning to the docking station to avoid dirtying the pads. The onboard dustbin has a 430 ml capacity and a 5,200 mAh battery powers the device. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 is already on sale in Hong Kong and Taiwan for HK$2,299/NT$9,995 (~$300). It remains unclear when it will launch in other countries and at what price.
