Airseekers Tron-One robot lawn mower launching soon
The Airseekers Tron-One robot lawn mower has been showcased at IFA 2023 ahead of its upcoming launch. A Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the smart home device will begin this October, with the product expected to go on general sale in early 2024. The robot uses five cameras with its AI Vision system to navigate your lawn efficiently while avoiding obstacles.
As with other recent robot lawn mowers, the Tron-One does not require you to install a physical perimeter wire. Airseekers claims it is the first model to mow, chop and vacuum. This system ensures clippings are sucked into the machine, chopped until fine, and then released to fertilize your lawn. You can use an accompanying app to draw patterns in your grass, enter edge-cutting mode and adjust the cutting height between 1.2 and 3.5-in (~3.1 and 8.9 cm).
Other features include GPS tracking, which is helpful in case of theft, and a removable RTK module for more accurate navigation. Plus, the Airseekers Master can detect rain and pause mowing, and return to its dock. The robot is suitable for lawns up to 1 acre (~4,047m²) in size and can tackle inclines up to 40°. Airseekers has yet to announce the pricing of its Tron-One robot lawn mower; you can now pre-order the device with a €100 deposit in the EU.
