Xiaomi has revealed the Mijia Instant Hot Water Purifier Q1000 in China. The smart home device has instant heating technology with a 1.0L/min flow rate for boiling water. Dual heating ensures water is at the desired temperature, with elements in the tank and faucet.
The Mijia Q1000’s faucet has a built-in touch panel and display, showing information such as your selected water temperature and TDS value. Alternatively, you can adjust the settings in the Xiaomi app. For example, you can control the volume of water dispensed and the temperature between 45 to 95°C (~113 to 203°F) in 1°C (~1.8°F) steps. The device also cleanses water with six stages of purification, including PPC and RO filters; the gadget can purify 2.65L/min, which equates to one cup of water in 3.5 seconds. According to Xiaomi, it is relatively easy to replace the filters.
You can now pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Instant Hot Water Purifier Q1000 in China for 3,499 yuan (~US$478) with a 100 yuan (~US$14) deposit. After this pre-sale period, the device will retail for 4,599 yuan (~US$678). Whether Xiaomi intends to release this smart home product in other markets, such as Europe, remains unclear.
