Epson unveils new EpiqVision Ultra LS650 Streaming Laser Projector

The EpiqVision Ultra LS650 features 3-chip 3LCD technology for a bright image with high contrast; the light source delivers a maximum brightness of 3,600 lumens, and the projector has a 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio. The laser is expected to last for up to 20,000 hours with typical power consumption, and you can use the Epson Setting Assistant app, available for iOS and Android, to quickly perfect the image. Android TV lets you stream content from popular platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and Disney+. Plus, you can control the device with Google Assistant voice commands.

The new Epson projector has an integrated 2.1 virtual surround sound system from Yamaha with two 5W speakers and a 10W subwoofer. You can connect external speakers, a games console or other gadgets via HDMI, HDMI eARC, USB-A and S/PDIF ports. The device will be available in black or white, measuring 18.4 x 15.7 x 6.2-in (~467 x 399 x 157 mm). Epson has yet to announce the pricing and release date for the EpiqVision Ultra LS650; the projector will likely arrive later this year.
