New Hisense Vidda S85 4K 85-in TV unveiled with gaming features

Hisense has launched the Vidda S85 or 85V1K-S TV in China. The new larger model has a 4K resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate and support for HDR. Other features include a built-in 2.1 channel speaker system, a voice assistant, auto low latency mode and other features geared towards gamers.

The Hisense Vidda S85 TV has been launched in China. The new model, also known as the Vidda 85V1K-S, is an 85-in TV with a 4K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display has MEMC motion smoothing technology, support for HDR and covers 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The Vidda S85 has various features for gaming, including auto low latency mode (ALLM), Dark-E dynamic dark-field detail enhancement and Tencent START cloud gaming. You can connect a games console and other gadgets via ports like HDMI 2.1, USB 2.0 and SPDIF. Alternatively, you can wirelessly screencast from a mobile device; the TV has dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

The new Vidda model has a built-in 2.1 channel sound system, including two 18W speakers and a 25W subwoofer, compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD. The TV has a 97% screen-to-body ratio and can be controlled with AI far-field voice commands. The device uses a quad-core A55 processor and has 3+64GB memory. You can now buy the Hisense Vidda S85 TV in China for 5,399 yuan (~US$740). Hisense has yet to announce plans to launch the new model in other markets.
