Hisense has launched the Laser TV L5K in China, claiming it is the world’s first foldable laser TV. The new model has a 110-in screen and uses a Laser Engine LPU for realistic colors, covering 138% of the BT.709 color space and delivering up to 380 nits brightness. The LPU Digital Laser Engine combines LPU High Dynamic Clarity and LPU High Sensory Brightness for microsecond level optimizations and AI brightness adjustments.
Other features of the L5K include compatibility with HDR and IMAX Enhanced content, MEMC motion-smoothing and a folding Fresnel passive anti-glare screen. The 4K projector has a built-in Harman Kardon 2.1.2 sound system, including two 15W side speakers, two 10W overhead speakers and a 50W subwoofer. You can connect gadgets via HDMI 2.1 and USB 2.0 ports, with support for Wi-Fi 7.
The new laser TV model runs on Android 9 with an MT9639 chip and 1TB storage. You can now buy the Hisense Laser TV L5K in China for the discounted price of 36,999 yuan (~US$5,063); the product has an RRP of 49,999 yuan (~US$6,842).
