The ASUS ZenBeam L2 Smart Portable LED Projector has been unveiled. The 1080p gadget supports 4K HDR content and has up to 960 LED lumens or 400 ANSI lumens brightness from an LED light source, expected to last for 30,000 hours. The projector covers 120% of the sRGB color gamut and can cast images up to 120-in (~305 cm) wide with a 1.2:1 throw ratio.
The ZenBeam L2 has tools such as auto-focus, obstacle avoidance and keystone correction to help you quickly perfect the image. You can choose from seven modes, like Bright, Theater and Game, to tailor your set-up. The projector comes with Android 12 TV, allowing you to stream content from popular services such as Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video; the gadget is preloaded with Netflix. Android TV also brings Google Chromecast and Google Assistant voice commands to the device.
The new ASUS portable projector has integrated 10W Harman Kardon speakers and a built-in 65 Wh six-cell battery, allowing you to watch movies or TV for up to 3.5 hours between charges. You can recharge the device via USB-C, with other ports like HDMI and USB-A to connect smaller gadgets. The product measures 132 x 172 x 132 mm (~5.2 x 6.8 x 5.2-in) and weighs 1.57 kg (~3.5 lbs). The ASUS ZenBeam L2 Smart Portable LED Projector retails for US$699/£598.99, with pre-orders now available via Amazon US. It is expected that the gadget will officially launch in mid-October.
