Samsung updates the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and its smart TVs with improved audio capabilities
Announced yesterday and expected to hit the list of compatible devices in the coming days, the firmware updates that improve the LE Audio capabilities of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro alongside some Samsung smart TVs (2023 Neo QLED 8K and 2023 MICRO LED) will also hit the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Book3 Pro, Book3 Pro 360, and Book3 360.
According to the official press release, the new pieces of code mentioned above "extend LE Audio capabilities to Samsung TVs with Auracast broadcast audio technology, enabling rich and complex audio transmission to nearby Bluetooth devices." The list of new LE Audio-based features introduced by Samsung includes 360 Audio Recording, which allows Galaxy smartphones to record positional sound on video without the use of any additional hardware. The Galaxy Book3 devices mentioned in the previous paragraph will get improved latency, so multimedia consumption and gaming use will be noticeably improved thanks to the update.
Last but not the least, Auracast broadcast for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and 2023 Neo QLED 8K and 2023 MICRO LED smart TVs will allow the users to connect multiple buds to a TV (only two currently) after the update.
These technologies and more will be showcased by Samsung at this year's IFA event, which is scheduled to take place in Berlin, on September 1 - 5.
