ECOVACS GOAT GX-600 robot lawn mower launching soon
ECOVACS has announced the EU release date for its new GOAT GX-600 robot lawn mower. The new model was unveiled earlier this year at CES 2024. According to Smarthome Assistent, you will be able to pre-order the ECOVACS GOAT GX-600 from March 20th for €1,299. It is unclear whether the device will launch in other markets like the US around the same time and how it will be priced.
The GX-600 uses a virtual mapping system rather than a physical boundary wire, with a new smart boundary recognition tool for faster set-up. ECOVACS goes so far as to suggest you can begin using the mower by simply clicking a button, with the device learning your lawn's layout within 48 hours. The robot uses a 150-degree fish-eye camera and ToF sensors to navigate your garden efficiently and avoid obstacles.
The mower can climb slopes of 22 degrees (40%) and will return to its docking station to charge as necessary, resuming its job once it has sufficient power. Plus, you can customize various settings, such as the cutting height, and set a mowing schedule in the ECOVACS app. Two other ECOVACS robot mowers are launching in March, the GOAT G1-800 and the GOAT G1-2000.
